Nutritional Style Chai

My chai recipe is warming, soothing and perfect for a chilly fall or winter day.
I made this for ABC T.V.’s Let’s Talk Live show, and the hosts loved it.
It’s also caffeine-free and vegan, if you skip the honey. For a raw version, use home-made almond or nut milk, which I did for my T.V. appearance.
Give it a try today, and leave me a love note below:) Tell me how you like it.

Ingredients:

4 cups organic sugar free almond milk
4 cinnamon sticks or 1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons green cardamom pods or 1 teaspoon ground cardamom
1/4 teaspoon whole cloves
1/8 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
1/4 cup sliced ginger
4 tbsp organic palm sugar or sweeten to taste with raw honey or stevia.

Preparation:

Place all of the ingredients except sweetener in a blender and blend. Strain in a fine strainer, and press pulp to release all milk.

Whisk in your choice of sweetener. Serve slightly warm or chilled, your preference.
