Mmm! This smoothie sounds delicious. I have a similar smoothie recipe minus the maca, and with the addition of an avocado. I imagine this would be delicious, and have a subtle malted flavor :D

    xo, thanks for sharing!

Sounds great! Do you soak your dates? This is perfect for before or after a run! Happy to have found your site!

      Hi Jamie!
I use fresh medjool dates, so they’re naturally soft. I don’t soak them, and in fact, if there are a few little pieces of dates in the ice cream, even better!
      Thanks for asking:)

This sounds delicious. I have been battling a sugar addiction and have been looking for something that will help satisfy that desire AND be good for me AND less fattening. I’ll let you know how I make out. Thank you!

    Hello Holli!

I just made this for lunch and am literally reeling with energy. Love it! I have been struggling with finding a good protein powder and now realize that I just don’t need it. I can just use hemp seeds or cashews and I love the dates as the natural sweetener. Dates really are nature’s candy!

    Thanks again for sharing.
