My husband and my 11 year old son made this smoothie for me on Mother’s Day morning.. It was yummy:)
Ingredients
1 Tbsp cacao
1 Tbsp hemp protein powder
1 Tbsp maca powder
1/2 banana
1/2 cup blueberries
2 Tbsp *Barleans brand “Pina Colada” Omega 3 oil
1 cup organic unsweetened Almond Milk
*Barleans brand omega 3 oil comes refrigerated and tastes yummy; it’s a great alternative for those who can’t stomach omega 3 pills or oil. It comes in different flavors like pina colada and mango.
Blend all ingredients in your high speed blender.










I am glad to find this alternative omega 3 oil with such great reviews of taste… BUT isnt it best to take codliver oil with butter oil? Thank you so much for the recipe & with such a sweet Mothers Day message

Thanks Deanna, I appreciate your question. There are several ways to get your anti inflammatory Omega 3′s, and this is just one of them. The benefit is for those who don’t like codliver oil’s taste. Flax oil or seeds are a vegan option.
This recipe sounds delicious. My local health food store didn’t have hemp protein powder. Can you recommend a brand?
